The Torrejón de Ardoz Skatepark, situated within the Torrejón Leisure Park in the Community of Madrid, is a significant skate facility in Spain. Built in 2008 by ZutSkateparks, it spans about 1,400 square meters. This skatepark features a combination of a bowl, street area, and seating for spectators, making it a versatile location for skaters of varying skills.
The park's design aimed to cater to both local and visiting skaters, with a layout that includes classic skate elements like ramps, rails, and ledges. Over time, due to its popularity and extensive use, the need for renovations and expansions became apparent. In recent years, the skatepark underwent several updates. The most notable expansion occurred on the park's eastern side, introducing new obstacles such as pyramids and banks. Additionally, a pumptrack was constructed adjacent to the skatepark to provide a new type of riding experience.
A more comprehensive renovation took place in 2023, which expanded the park further and included new sports facilities. This renovation added a parkour area that creatively utilized the existing graffiti-covered walls, as well as a new skate section inspired by well-known urban spots in Madrid. These updates aimed to refresh the skatepark and adapt it to modern skateboarding needs while maintaining its community-focused design.
