Located within the expansive 69-acre grounds of Victoria Park, this modern plaza-style facility replaced an outdated two-obstacle setup with a contemporary concrete design. Situated adjacent to the University of Leicester campus, the new park offers a progressive environment that caters to both beginners and experienced riders. The project was delivered by Clark & Kent Contractors, acting as the specialist contractor for the UK’s longest-running skatepark company, on behalf of Ground Control and Leicester City Council.
The skatepark was strategically built over a former basketball court, making efficient use of existing hardstanding while modernizing the park’s recreational offerings. The construction was completed in a swift six-week window.
