The Villa Gesell Skatepark, famously known among locals as the "Bowl de Gesell," is a historic landmark for Argentine skateboarding. Located on Boulevard Silvio Gesell (specifically between Paseo 110 and Paseo 111), it was inaugurated in 2011. Located at Blvd. Silvio Gesell 1101, this park is a "temple" of transition skating on the Atlantic coast. Built with high-quality concrete and maintained through several municipal renovations (most notably in 2019), it is famous for its technical difficulty and its role in hosting the Copa Gesell de Skate. It serves as the primary training ground for the local municipal skate school, making it a bustling hub of activity throughout the year.
The park features two interconnected concrete bowls. These are known for their depth and vertical transitions, requiring a high level of skill to navigate effectively. After the 2019 renovation, a specialized water drainage and pump system was installed to ensure the bowls remain dry and rideable even after heavy coastal storms.
Free and open to the public. The park is separated from the neighboring municipal buildings by a dedicated perimeter wall, creating a safe, enclosed environment for skaters and families.
