Westlake Village Skatepark is part of the Westlake Village Community Park, located in California. The skatepark was constructed in 2015 as a collaboration between the City of Westlake Village and the Triunfo YMCA. This 6,500-square-foot concrete park was built by SpohnRanch, a renowned skatepark design and construction company. The design was initially developed by MIG, a landscape architecture firm, before SpohnRanch executed the build.
The skatepark includes a mix of street and transition features, with a focus on catering to both beginners and intermediate skaters. Highlights include a bowl that ranges from four to six feet in depth with unique elements like a waterfall and hips, as well as a street section with ledges, rails, stairs, and an A-frame feature. The park’s scenic location, overlooking the Santa Monica Mountains, adds a visually appealing backdrop to the skateboarding experience.
The skatepark is part of a larger 19-acre recreational area that offers various sports facilities, including synthetic turf fields, trails, and picnic spaces. This area was developed over more than a decade, emphasizing community involvement and recreational opportunities for residents. The park operates from sunrise to sunset, providing free access to the public, with a strong emphasis on safety and accessibility.
