Commonly known as Parque Z, the Zárate skatepark is a major sports landmark located at the intersection of Rawson and Avenida Mitre within the city's Urban Park. Inaugurated in 2015, this professional-grade facility spans approximately 1,200 square meters of high-performance concrete. It was designed to meet international safety and technical standards, earning it a reputation as one of the premier skating venues in Argentina.
The park features a versatile "street" section equipped with a diverse array of obstacles including drawers, manual pads, rails, and various ramps that cater to both beginners and advanced riders. A standout feature of the design is the large "olla" or bowl, which allows for fluid transition skating and vertical maneuvers. Because of its high build quality and strategic layout, the site frequently serves as a host for major competitive events, such as the National Skateboarding Championship. The park is integrated into a larger recreational area near the Zárate riverfront, offering a safe and well-regulated environment that is open daily for skaters, BMX riders, and rollerskaters.
