In May 2024, the commune of Arvillard, located in the Savoie department of France, inaugurated its first pumptrack facility, marking a significant addition to the region's recreational infrastructure. The pumptrack, named "L'Anneau" (The Ring) by local schoolchildren, was constructed on the elevated terrains of Arvillard, by BikeSolutions.
The facility features a series of asphalted bumps and banked turns, forming a closed-loop circuit that allows users to navigate the course by generating momentum through body movements, eliminating the need for pedaling or pushing. This design caters to various wheeled sports, including BMX biking, skateboarding, rollerblading, and scootering, accommodating users of different skill levels.
Since its inauguration on May 17, 2024, the pumptrack has become a popular attraction within Arvillard. It offers a safe and engaging environment for individuals to practice and improve their skills in various wheeled sports.
