Boissy-le-Châtel Skatepark, also known as Skatepark Continua, is a distinctive concrete flow park located in Boissy-le-Châtel, Île-de-France, France. Situated within the grounds of Galleria Continua—a contemporary art gallery housed in a former paper mill—the skatepark seamlessly integrates art, architecture, and skate culture.
The skatepark extends approximately 140 meters, following the path of an old railway line that once served the industrial site. Its wavy concrete strips meander through the landscape, creating a fluid and organic form that harmonizes with the surrounding trees and vegetation. This design draws inspiration from the early skateparks of the 1970s, emphasizing smooth transitions and continuous flow.
The skatepark was completed in 2020. The process involved assembling and welding metal frames on-site, onto which fresh concrete was sprayed, shaped, and smoothed by skilled mason-skaters. The skatepark is nestled within the gardens of Sainte-Marie, part of the Galleria Continua complex. Its integration into the art venue provides a unique experience, blending recreational activity with contemporary art.
