In September 2024, the commune of Bréhand, located in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany, France, initiated the construction of a pumptrack facility to enhance local recreational infrastructure and provide residents with a dedicated space for various wheeled sports.
The pumptrack was designed and constructed by P-Tracks, a company specializing in the development of pumptrack facilities. The track features a series of asphalted bumps and banked turns, forming a closed-loop circuit that allows users to navigate the course by generating momentum through body movements, eliminating the need for pedaling or pushing. This design caters to users of all skill levels, providing a safe and engaging environment for practicing and improving skills in various wheeled sports.
Strategically situated behind the town hall and adjacent to the football fields, the pumptrack enhances the existing sports infrastructure in Bréhand. The proximity to these facilities encourages cross-disciplinary engagement among athletes and provides a centralized location for community members to participate in diverse physical activities. Additionally, the area offers ample parking, ensuring convenient access for users and spectators alike.
