Get-A-Way Skatepark, located at 3685 Alex McAllister Drive SW in Huntsville, Alabama, is a premier 52,000-square-foot facility that opened in September 2023. Designed by Team Pain Skate Parks, it caters to both street and Olympic-style skateboarders. The skatepark offers a variety of elements to accommodate skaters of all skill levels: Bowls: Three distinct bowl areas provide diverse challenges. Snake Runs: Two snake runs offer flowing lines for continuous movement. Three-Quarter Pipe: A unique feature for advanced maneuvers. Street Plaza: Equipped with ledges, rails, and stairs to replicate urban street skating environments. The skatepark operates during the following hours: Monday to Friday: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, the following guidelines are in place:
Permitted Equipment: Skateboards, bikes, in-line and quad skates, and non-foldable scooters are allowed. Motorized vehicles, bikes, or scooters are prohibited. Safety Gear: Helmets are mandatory. Proper attire, including closed-toe shoes and shirts, is required. Safety gear such as pads and wrist supports is recommended. Conduct: Smoking, vaping, alcohol consumption, profanity, and loud music are prohibited. Pets are not allowed. Supervision: Children under 12 should be supervised by an adult. Usage: Spectators must remain away from the riding area. Portable obstacles or materials, such as ramps, jumps, and rails, may not be used. Weather Conditions: The facility will be closed when the surface is wet or during inclement weather.
