Ingelmunster skatepark

The Ingelmunster Skatepark, located adjacent to the Brigandsbrug near the train station, officially opened in April 2024. This facility was developed in response to a significant demand from local youth for a dedicated skate area within the municipality. The design process actively involved these young residents, ensuring the park's features align with their preferences and needs.

Spanning approximately 250 square meters, the skatepark offers a variety of obstacles suitable for different skill levels. Key elements include a volcano, kick over gap, flatbar, and kicker, all interconnected with smooth transitions to facilitate a seamless flow for skaters.

The skatepark is part of the broader 'Park aan het water' initiative, aimed at enhancing the canal zone's appeal. This project also encompasses the development of a green, adventurous play area featuring small hills, natural play elements like tree trunks for climbing, and an open space for various activities. Amenities such as seating and picnic tables, designed to be accessible for individuals with mobility challenges, are available to visitors.
