In October 2024, the commune of Javené, located near Fougères in the Ille-et-Vilaine department of Brittany, France, inaugurated a new pumptrack facility. This initiative aimed to provide residents, especially the youth, with a dedicated space for various wheeled sports, including BMX biking, skateboarding, rollerblading, and scootering.
The pumptrack was designed and constructed by P-Tracks, a company specializing in the development of pumptrack facilities. The track features a series of asphalted bumps and banked turns, forming a closed-loop circuit. This design caters to users of all skill levels, providing a safe and engaging environment for practicing and improving skills in various wheeled sports.
Strategically situated adjacent to the local football stadium and gymnasium, the pumptrack enhances the existing sports infrastructure in Javené. The proximity to these facilities encourages cross-disciplinary engagement among athletes and provides a centralized location for community members to participate in diverse physical activities. Additionally, the area offers ample parking, ensuring convenient access for users and spectators alike.
