Le Mars Skatepark, located in O'Toole Park at Central Ave & 5th St N.E., Le Mars, Iowa, officially opened in October 2019. The grand opening attracted several hundred attendees, including professional skateboarders from out of state and Europe, as well as a BMX team from Nebraska, marking Le Mars as an emerging destination city.
One of the skatepark's unique features is an obstacle designed to resemble an ice cream scoop, affectionately nicknamed "the spoon" by locals, paying homage to Le Mars' title as the "Ice Cream Capital of the World."
