Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

The Liverpool Skatepark, located at 34 Old Cobbs Barn Road in Bristol, Nova Scotia, is an 8,000-square-foot facility that serves as a modern recreation anchor for the Region of Queens Municipality. This project was designed and built by New Line Skateparks in 2017, replacing an older, limited facility with a permanent concrete landscape. The park was developed through a community-driven process to provide a durable, all-season space for skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter enthusiasts in the South Shore region.
The design follows a "linear flow" concept, utilizing a long, rectangular footprint to maximize the utility of the site. It features a versatile transition zone at one end with a wide quarter pipe that acts as a return wall, feeding riders into a technical street plaza. The plaza is equipped with a variety of modern obstacles, including granite-capped hubba ledges, a "bump-to-ledge" feature, flat rails, and a central "A-frame" pyramid. The layout is engineered to be approachable for beginners while providing enough technical complexity and "gap" opportunities to challenge advanced local riders.
Constructed using high-strength, smooth-troweled concrete, the facility was specifically engineered to withstand the Atlantic coast’s high humidity and intense freeze-thaw cycles. The park is integrated into the larger Queens Place Emera Centre grounds, benefiting from the proximity to a world-class indoor recreation complex. The design includes wide concrete aprons for spectators, integrated seating, and clear sightlines for safety. Today, the Liverpool Skatepark is a central social hub for the community, recognized for its intuitive layout and its contribution to the growing action sports culture in rural Nova Scotia.
