In October 2024, the commune of Marcellaz, located in the Haute-Savoie department of France, inaugurated a state-of-the-art pumptrack facility to enhance local recreational infrastructure and provide residents with a dedicated space for various wheeled sports, including BMX biking, skateboarding, rollerblading, and scootering.
The pumptrack was designed and constructed by PRP Tracks, under the expertise of Romain Paulhan, a company specializing in the development of pumptrack facilities. The development of the pumptrack was a significant investment for the commune.
The project received a substantial subsidy from the Haute-Savoie Departmental Council, amounting to €46,320, which covered 30% of the total project cost estimated at €154,400. This financial support underscores the local government's commitment to enhancing recreational facilities and promoting active lifestyles among its residents.
