Molenaar skatepark

Molenaar skatepark is a modern facility located within Molenaar Park in Southwest Boise, Idaho. Opened on August 1, 2023, the skate park was designed and constructed by Grindline Skateparks, Inc., renowned for their work on Rhodes Skate Park in downtown Boise.

The project was a collaborative effort involving the City of Boise, the Boise Skateboard Association, and the local skateboarding community. A generous $1 million donation from the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation expedited the park's development, enhancing recreational opportunities in the area.

Open daily from sunrise to sunset. Molenaar Park also features a playground and a dog park, making it a versatile destination for families and individuals.

The grand opening included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, live music by DJ RahKeeM, and refreshments from local vendors. Later that evening, the Boise Skateboard Association hosted the Boise premiere of the skate documentary "N-Men: The Untold Story" at the Egyptian Theatre, celebrating the local skateboarding culture.
