The Mölln Skatepark, located on the Schulberg near the "Takt-Los!" youth center in Mölln, Germany, was officially opened on October 18, 2024. This modern facility spans approximately 330 square meters and is designed for skateboards, scooters, and BMX bikes. It features various flow obstacles, including quarterpipes, corners, a spine, a ledge combo, an XXL slappy, and a brick wall ride, catering to both beginners and experienced riders.
The skatepark is open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with lighting that automatically turns off at 10:00 PM. Its proximity to several schools and the youth center provides easy access to amenities such as restrooms and a chill-out area, enhancing the overall experience for visitors.
The project was a collaborative effort involving the city of Mölln, the architectural firm "Garten- und Landschaftsarchitektur Andreas Knoll," and the construction company "Yamato Living Ramps GmbH." Funding was provided by the AktivRegion Herzogtum Lauenburg Nord e. V. and the State Office for Agriculture and Sustainable Land Development Schleswig-Holstein, contributing up to 100,000 euros. Additionally, the Vereinigte Stadtwerke supported the project by offering a 20% discount on the lighting equipment.
