In September 2024, the town of Monein, located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department of France, inaugurated a new pumptrack facility at the Plaine des Sports. This initiative aimed to provide residents, especially the youth, with a dedicated space for various wheeled sports, including BMX biking, skateboarding, rollerblading, and scootering.
The pumptrack was designed to cater to users of all skill levels, featuring three distinct tracks: Green Track (Beginner Level): Characterized by gentle terrain undulations and options for flat or banked turns, suitable for those new to pumptrack activities. Blue Track (Intermediate Level): Incorporates mild bumps that allow users to gain speed and practice jumping in a fun environment. Red Track (Advanced Level): Offers more pronounced bumps and technical sequences, including a double bump designed for performing actual jumps.
The facility spans an area of 1,800 square meters and is strategically situated near other sports amenities, such as the sports hall, fronton, and city stadium, fostering a comprehensive recreational environment.
