The skatepark in Monforte de Lemos, located in the Parque da Compañía, was announced in 2020 as part of the town's initiative to address the growing demand for urban sports facilities, particularly for skateboarding. The project, led by the local government under Mayor José Tomé Roca, involved a budget of €77,096.51 and aimed to revitalize an older site with a concrete base where a skate ramp once existed.
The design includes modular features like ramps, slides, grind rails, and other elements that comply with safety standards for skateparks. The new structure integrates well within the popular community park, enhancing recreational spaces frequented by locals and visitors alike. The layout involves reconfiguring surrounding workout equipment and landscaping improvements to create a cohesive sports and leisure area in Monforte’s urban center.
