The Nansledan Pumptrack, located near Newquay in Cornwall, opened in 2024 as part of a broader community development effort led by the Duchy of Cornwall. Designed and built by Maverick Skateparks, the track is situated behind Skol Nansledan, the local primary school, and is part of the sustainable extension of Newquay known as Nansledan. The pumptrack caters to a wide range of riders, including skaters, BMX riders, and scooter enthusiasts. The facility aims to be a fun, inclusive space for people of all ages and abilities.
The project is a significant feature within the community, incorporating feedback from local users to ensure it meets their needs. The opening event included a Skate Jam with live music, rider demonstrations, and competitions, highlighting its role as a recreational hub.
The pumptrack is one of several outdoor recreational facilities being developed in Nansledan, which also includes adventure playgrounds and other sports facilities to promote active lifestyles and community engagement.
