Parque da Juventude skatepark

Located within the lush, green surroundings of the Parque da Juventude in Portimão, this facility was completely reimagined in 2025. Reborn as a high-performance concrete sanctuary, the park blends modern skate architecture with local heritage, making it a must-visit destination for any skater traveling through the south of Portugal. Designed by the specialists at Wasteland Skateparks and built by Paulo Ribeiro, the park’s aesthetic is inspired by the Fortaleza de Santa Catarina.

Transport & Accessibility

By Car: The park is centrally located and easy to find from any direction in the Algarve. From the A22 (Via do Infante): Take the exit toward Portimão/Alvor. Follow the signs for the city center and the V6 or V3 avenues.

Parking: There is a large, dedicated parking lot at the North entrance of the Parque da Juventude (near the sports pavilion) and additional street parking in the Urbanização Alto Pacheco.

Train: Take the Linha do Algarve to Portimão Station. From there, it is a roughly 15-20 minute skate or walk through the town center, or a quick 5-minute taxi/Uber ride.

Bus (Regional): The VAMUS bus terminal is in the city center. Most regional buses from Faro or Lagos stop here.

Local Bus (Vai e Vem): Use the local Vai e Vem network. Line 31 and Line 32 have stops very close to the park (look for the "Parque da Juventude" or "Alto Pacheco" stops).

Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.
