The skatepark was developed by Spohn Ranch, a renowned skatepark design firm based in Los Angeles. The facility boasts a variety of concrete structures, including ramps, rails, and bowls, providing a comprehensive environment for both beginners and experienced skaters. The project was funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) as part of the Utica Prosperity Initiative, with a budget allocation of $500,000. This investment reflects the city's commitment to enhancing public outdoor spaces and promoting active lifestyles among its residents. The skatepark is part of a broader effort to revitalize T.R. Proctor Park, which includes the addition of a new inclusive playground, a splash pad, and improved pathways to ensure accessibility for all visitors.
