The Surf City Skatepark is a prominent feature within the Earl G. & Inez Batts Recreation Complex, located in Surf City, North Carolina. This skatepark offers a modern space for skateboarding enthusiasts of all levels. Situated within the Earl G. & Inez Batts Recreation Complex, the skatepark benefits from the amenities and expansive space of the 45.85-acre park.
The Earl G. & Inez Batts Recreation Complex, where the skatepark is located, was developed following the acquisition of approximately 45.85 acres of parkland adjacent to the existing Surf City Community Center and Athletic Complex. The town secured $1 million in grant funding through the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) and Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) to support the development of this complex. The complex was officially named in honor of the Batts family, from whom the land was acquired.
