Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

The Ucluelet Skatepark, located on Matterson Drive next to the Ucluelet Community Centre in British Columbia, is a premier concrete facility that perfectly captures the "concrete surfing" culture of the rugged West Coast. Surrounded by the coastal rainforest, the park has evolved through multiple phases to become a landmark destination for the Vancouver Island skate community.
The Original Bowl & 2017 Expansion The park's foundation is its legendary multi-depth flow bowl, originally built by New Line Skateparks. To make the park more accessible for all skill levels, the District of Ucluelet secured a Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Grant and Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) funding for a facelift in the summer of 2017. For this phase, New Line Skateparks teamed up directly with Transition Construction. Together, they delivered a playful street-style addition that successfully integrated technical features into the park while keeping the original, massive bowl intact.
Upcoming 2026 Expansion The park is currently undergoing another major evolution. In February 2026, the District of Ucluelet officially brought on Radius Skateparks to design a brand-new $339,000 expansion. Following an active community design workshop, this upcoming phase is focused on heavily expanding the street-style terrain to balance out the massive transition section. Construction for this new Radius-designed addition is targeted for completion in May/June 2026.
Today, the Ucluelet Skatepark is a vibrant cultural hub that hosts local events like the annual Ucluelet Salmon Slam Bowl Jam. It stands as a testament to the town's commitment to youth recreation and the laid-back, adventurous spirit of the Pacific Northwest.
