The Zottegem Skatepark is a newly developed facility located at the Bevegemse Vijvers sports site in Zottegem, Belgium. Officially opened on September 21, 2024, the skatepark was designed with direct input from local skaters to ensure it meets the needs of the community. The park spans 27.30 meters in length and 10.45 meters in width, featuring a diverse range of obstacles.
Before the permanent skatepark was built, a pop-up skatepark was set up on Deinsbekestraat, accessible daily between 8 AM and 10 PM. This initiative demonstrated the strong local demand for a permanent facility. The grand opening of the new skatepark was a community-driven event, featuring a skate initiation session, free skate periods, and contests for different age groups, accompanied by music, food, and drinks.
