Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

The village of Oiã, in the municipality of Oliveira do Bairro (Portugal), has opened a brand-new leisure park that brings fresh life and community space to the area. Covering nearly 10,000 square meters, the new park connects the central Praça do Cruzeiro to the Parish Council building, creating a vibrant “green corridor” through the heart of the town.
At its center, the park features a natural amphitheater with a 360º stage for cultural events, a modern playground with inclusive equipment, a fitness area, and—most importantly for us skaters— a new skatepark. The skatepark was designed and built by Wasteland Skateparks, the Portuguese legends behind some of the country’s most iconic concrete projects.
The Parque Verde de Oiã was officially inaugurated on January 18, 2025, during a ceremony attended by Portugal’s Secretary of State for the Environment, Emídio Sousa. The project represents an investment of around €870,000, including construction, upgrades, and land acquisition.
The skatepark is part of a bigger vision known as the Oiã Green Corridor, which connects several community projects: from the Praça do Cruzeiro’s gardens, through the new Parque Verde (with its playground, amphitheater, and skatepark), to the Parish Council, cultural spaces, and a new Family Health Unit currently under construction. The corridor will eventually extend north to the Parque do Vieiro.
In total, the municipality expects to invest more than €1.8 million in this corridor by April 2026.
With this new skatepark by Wasteland Skateparks, Oiã not only provides a place for skaters to ride but also strengthens its role as a welcoming hub for sports, culture, and community life.
