The Edge Skatepark, located in Allen, Texas, is one of the largest outdoor skateparks in the state, offering a comprehensive facility for skateboarding, BMX biking, and other wheeled sports. The skatepark was designed by the Site Design Group and constructed by Eric Dawkins, culminating in its opening in 2005.
Spanning approximately 37,915 square feet, The Edge features a variety of elements catering to different skill levels: Street Course: Equipped with stairs, handrails, boxes, rails, and ledges, this area provides ample opportunities for street-style tricks and maneuvers. Bowls: The park includes multiple bowls with varying depths, offering challenges for both novice and experienced riders. Banked Slopes: Several areas with banked slopes are designed for beginners to practice and build confidence.
Beyond the skatepark, The Edge complex encompasses: BMX Track: A 900-foot track featuring various challenges and fun elements for BMX enthusiasts. Roller Hockey Rinks: Two rinks available for roller hockey activities. Visitor Center: An indoor facility open to individuals aged 10-17, offering foosball and pool tables, video gaming systems, and a snack bar.
The skatepark operates daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., providing ample time for enthusiasts to engage in their preferred activities. Access to the facility and skatepark is free, with payment required for certain programs and camps.
