421 Bay View Avenue, Wilmington, California 90744, United States of America.
Ambassador Skate Plaza, also known as Wilmington Skatepark, is a 10,000-square-foot concrete skatepark located in the Wilmington neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It was built in 2008 by SpohnRanch Skateparks in collaboration with pro-skater Paul Rodriguez, who helped design the park. The skate plaza features a variety of street-style elements, including stairs, hubbas, rails, ledges, benches, and manual pads, all designed to provide skaters with an urban plaza experience.
The park was funded as part of a broader initiative to revitalize the Wilmington area, providing a safe and fun recreational space for local youth and skaters. Its central feature is an elevated 360-degree street plaza, which offers multiple skating lines and a mix of obstacles that keep the park dynamic. Other notable features include a large four-stair set, a half-moon metallic bank, and a pyramid box, catering to skaters of all skill levels.
Since its opening, the skatepark has been a central hub for the local skate community, regularly hosting events and attracting skaters from across Los Angeles. Although the park does not have lights, it is open from sunrise to sunset, and its diverse range of features continues to make it a favorite spot for skaters.
