ABOUT SKATEPARK

Camilleri Street skatepark

The Camilleri Street Skate and Youth Hub, located in Dolphin Heads, Mackay, Queensland, is a vibrant recreational space designed and built by Convic. Officially opened in November 2019, the skatepark is part of a larger development aimed at addressing the lack of youth-oriented recreational facilities in the growing northern beaches community.

The park features a street-style skate plaza with smooth concrete surfaces, ledges, rails, banks, and quarter pipes, making it suitable for skaters of all levels. In addition to the skatepark, the facility includes a pump track, a half basketball court, and a multi-games court, enhancing its appeal as a hub for various activities.

The project was a collaboration between the Mackay Regional Council and the Queensland Government, with the latter providing funding support through a $1 million grant as part of an election commitment.
