ABOUT SKATEPARK

Chippewa Cree Tribe community skatepark

The Chippewa Cree Tribe Community Skatepark is located on the Rocky Boy’s Reservation in Montana and was officially opened in 2018. This project was driven by local youth, who advocated for its development to provide a recreational space for the community. The skatepark was designed and constructed by Evergreen Skateparks, with significant financial support from Jeff Ament, the bassist of Pearl Jam, who has been involved in similar projects across Montana and South Dakota.

The skatepark is part of broader community efforts to provide healthy, outdoor activities for the youth on the reservation, encouraging positive lifestyle choices. It features modern skateboarding elements and is heavily used by local children and teens. Funding for the park came from both community contributions and Ament’s foundation, making it a significant achievement for the Rocky Boy’s Reservation.
