Clifton Playing Fields, Farnborough Road, Nottingam NG11 8JU, United Kingdom.
Clifton Skatepark, located in Clifton Playing Fields, Nottingham, is one of the largest and most popular skateparks in the area. Designed and built by Maverick Industries, the park was completed in August 2011 as part of Nottingham’s efforts to provide high-quality recreational spaces for the city's youth. The project was funded primarily by Nottingham City Council at a cost of around £300,000, reflecting the council's commitment to enhancing sports facilities in the region.
The skatepark features a mix of street and transition elements, making it suitable for skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter users. The centerpiece of the park is a large, uniquely shaped bowl section with varying depths, pool tiling, and coping, allowing for a wide range of tricks and lines. In addition to the main bowl, there is a smaller, open-sided bowl that transitions into the street section. This street area includes quarter pipes, hubbas, grind rails, and stair sets, providing a comprehensive experience for skaters of all skill levels.
The skatepark has been praised for its high-quality construction and smooth transitions, with locals and visitors alike enjoying the facility. It is open year-round and free to use, though it can get busy during peak hours, so weekday visits are recommended for those seeking more space. Clifton Skatepark remains a major attraction for the skating community in Nottingham and is considered one of the city’s best skateparks.
