Rushcliffe Country Park Skatepark, located in Ruddington, Nottinghamshire, underwent a major redevelopment and officially opened in June 2021. The new concrete skatepark was built by Canvas Spaces with a budget of £210,000, funded by Rushcliffe Borough Council. The project was developed in collaboration with Skate Nottingham, VIA East Midlands, and other local organizations.
The design of the skatepark was influenced by local users, including young people aged 11-18, who participated in co-design workshops. The park includes a street course that caters to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced riders, including those training for Olympic-level competitions. The skatepark's focus on inclusivity ensures accessibility for differently-abled users and promotes a sense of community.
