Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

The Heath Eiland & Morgan Moss Skatepark (commonly known as the Austin BMX & Skate Park), located at 1213 Shoal Creek Boulevard in downtown Austin, Texas, is a 30,000-square-foot flagship facility. This project was designed by New Line Skateparks and built by SPA Skateparks in 2011. Situated in the heart of the city, the park was the result of a tireless community effort to create a high-performance space that reflects Austin's creative and inclusive spirit.
The design is a sophisticated "mega-complex" that balances technical street terrain with championship-grade transition. The centerpiece of the transition zone is a massive, multi-depth flow bowl featuring a "cradle" and a high-vertical "tombstone" extension, designed to challenge the most advanced transition riders. This is complemented by a sprawling street plaza that flows across multiple levels, incorporating granite-capped hubba ledges, diverse stair sets, flat rails, and unique "up-ledges." The layout is engineered to handle massive crowds while maintaining "infinite lines" that allow riders to move seamlessly from the deep bowls into the street technical zones.
A defining feature of the park is its "Music City" thematic integration. The facility functions as a piece of functional public art, with concrete textures and sculptural metalwork that pay homage to Austin’s legendary live music reputation. The design also prioritizes the social experience, featuring integrated "chill zones" and elevated viewing areas for spectators. These spaces are strategically placed to offer clear sightlines of the action while providing a buffer from the high-speed riding zones.
Constructed by SPA Skateparks using specialized high-strength concrete and precision-troweled finishes, the park is built to withstand both heavy "all-wheel" usage and the intense Texas heat. The site utilizes the natural grade of the Shoal Creek area, featuring a sophisticated drainage system and sustainable landscaping. Today, the Heath Eiland & Morgan Moss Skatepark is a global destination, recognized for its massive scale, world-class build quality, and its role as the beating heart of the Austin action sports community.
