The Luuwit View Park Skate Spot in Northeast Portland opened on October 21, 2017. The skate spot, which spans 3,000 square feet, was designed by Grindline Skateparks and built by Evergreen Skateparks. It features a combination of street and transition elements, including a six-foot-deep bowl and a four-foot section, as well as steel-capped curbs. The park offers smooth and fast concrete, making it a great spot for skaters of various skill levels.
The construction of Luuwit View Park, including the skate spot, was part of a larger community initiative to enhance recreational spaces in the area. The project was supported by Portland Parks & Recreation in collaboration with local residents through public input and planning processes.
