The Sedro-Woolley Community Skatepark, located at 225 Metcalf Street in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, is a premier skateboarding facility in Skagit County. Opened in 2013, the skatepark was a collaborative effort involving the Sedro-Woolley Rotary Club, the City of Sedro-Woolley, and various community organizations and volunteers. The park features a large bowl with varying depths, a street course, and additional elements such as rails, stairs, and ledges, catering to both beginners and advanced skaters.
The skatepark's development was spearheaded by the Sedro-Woolley Rotary Club, with significant contributions from local businesses and organizations. Notably, Woods Custom Concrete & Construction, led by Jamie Jacobs, played a pivotal role in the construction. The project was funded through cash donations, grants—including one from the Tony Hawk Foundation (aka Skatepark project) —and extensive volunteer hours.
The skatepark hosts events such as the Sedro-Woolley Skateboard Challenge, a family-friendly competition that brings together skateboard enthusiasts of all ages.
