1835 Stoner Avenue #1801, Los Angeles, California 90025, United States of America.
Stoner Skate Plaza, located in West Los Angeles, is a 20,000-square-foot concrete skatepark that opened in 2010. Designed and built by California Skateparks, it is a plaza-style skatepark known for its street-inspired design. Many of the obstacles replicate famous street spots that have since been demolished or are now inaccessible to skaters due to restrictions. These include stairs, handrails, ledges, manual pads, euro gaps, and banks, making it a perfect place for skaters who enjoy technical street skating.
The skatepark was funded as part of a broader initiative by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks to provide recreational spaces for the community. The plaza reflects local skateboarding history, as several features pay homage to iconic LA street spots, including areas where skaters used to ride before being banned from doing so. This thoughtful integration of local skate history has helped cement Stoner Skate Plaza as a favorite among skaters in the area.
While the skatepark does not have an entry fee and is open from 9 AM to 5 PM, it also provides open spaces and more mellow areas for beginners, making it accessible to skaters of all levels. The design combines aesthetics with functionality, giving the park a modern look while still serving as a technical challenge for more advanced skaters.
