he Waterview BMX Track, located in Auckland, New Zealand, is the country's first BMX-only park. It was built as part of the Waterview Connection Project, which also included other recreational upgrades to the Waterview Reserve. The BMX track was designed by the Well-Connected Alliance (WCA) in collaboration with local riders and constructed by Convic, a renowned Australian company specializing in youth recreation facilities. The track features a series of consecutive jumps arranged in a pump track-style loop, suitable for riders of all ages and abilities.
Opened in late 2016, the track is part of a broader redevelopment of the Waterview Reserve, which also includes a skate park, playgrounds, and sports courts. The Waterview Connection Project, funded by the NZ Transport Agency as part of Auckland's motorway expansion, aimed to enhance local infrastructure while providing lasting community facilities.
The BMX track has been praised for its smooth, fast design, although it received some criticism for being too challenging for younger riders.
