The Wyke Regis Pumptrack is an exciting multi-wheeled sports facility located in Weymouth, Dorset. Designed and built by Maverick Industries, a renowned skatepark design company, the track opened in 2019 and was the first of its kind in the UK to be provided as a free-to-use facility by a local council. The track, located at Wyke Regis Playing Fields, offers a versatile space for bikes, scooters, and skateboards.
This 40-meter-long concrete pump track is designed with a variety of twists and bends, providing a safe and fun environment for users of all ages and skill levels. Its smooth concrete surface ensures a maintenance-free experience, allowing multiple users to enjoy the track simultaneously. The pump track was built to replace older, unstable mud mounds, improving the safety and accessibility for local youth.
The project was funded by Weymouth and Portland Borough Council and was developed in response to increasing demand for outdoor recreational spaces where children and young people could safely ride their bikes and skateboards. The installation of the pump track reflects the council's commitment to promoting active lifestyles and providing modern, inclusive facilities for the community.
