ABOUT SKATEPARK

Federal Park skatepark

Federal Park skatepark, aka Glebe skate plaza, is a concrete plaza style park built by Convic Skateparks. The park received the Urban Design award from AILA NSW Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. The project also won an AILA NSW award for Parks & Open Spaces as part of The Crescent in association with JMD Design and City of Sydney.

The Federal Park Skatepark in Annandale, New South Wales, opened in August 2021 and was developed as part of the City of Sydney's initiative to increase skate facilities. The skatepark features a skate plaza with a variety of elements, including rails, ledges, walls, banks, kerbs, stairs, and a freestanding mini ramp. It caters to skaters, BMX riders, and scooter enthusiasts of all levels.

The project was part of the City of Sydney’s capital works program and was integrated into the broader Johnston’s Creek masterplan, which aims to enhance the Glebe foreshore and surrounding green spaces. In addition to the skatepark, nearby playgrounds and recreational spaces were refurbished, making the area a vibrant community hub for outdoor activities.
