The Lead Skatepark in Lead, South Dakota, was designed and constructed by Evergreen Skateparks and is one of the newest skateparks in the state, completed recently. The park features Evergreen's signature "moonscape" design, which includes various bumps, dips, hips, and banks to create a smooth flow for skaters. The centerpiece of the park is a pool-style bowl with shallow and deep ends, complemented by additional features like a volcano, manual pad, flat ledge, and rails. This versatile design caters to skaters of all skill levels.
The skatepark was developed to replace older, outdated ramps, bringing a modern concrete facility to the local community. It has quickly become a popular spot for skaters in the region and is open 24/7, allowing skaters to enjoy the park at any time of day.
The city of Lead, along with the efforts of Evergreen Skateparks and community support, funded this project as part of a broader push to enhance recreational opportunities in the area.
