The Volketswil Pumptrack, located in the municipality of Volketswil in the canton of Zurich, Switzerland, is a premier facility designed for enthusiasts of wheeled sports such as biking, skateboarding, and rollerblading. Adjacent to the Kultur- und Sportzentrum Gries, the pumptrack offers a dynamic environment for users of varying skill levels.
The pumptrack was designed and constructed by Velosolutions GmbH, a Swiss company renowned for creating high-quality pumptracks and bike parks. Their expertise ensured that the Volketswil Pumptrack features a flowy arrangement of curves and obstacles, providing both beginners and experienced riders with engaging challenges. The facility spans a total area of 2,069 square meters, with a track length of 156 meters. Notably, it includes a wooden wallride, adding an extra element of excitement for users.
The project received its building permit on November 14, 2023, with the decision becoming legally binding after a 30-day appeal period. Construction commenced in March 2024 and was completed over a span of several months. The facility was officially opened to the public on September 14, 2024, with an inauguration event that featured show blocks and a festive atmosphere.
