Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

Five years ago, I started with a simple dream: create a map of every skatepark in Portugal. What began as a small community project soon grew beyond anything I imagined. After finishing Portugal, I decided to go further — and today, Trucks and Fins is the world’s largest skatepark directory, with over 23,000 skateparks mapped and millions of skaters using it every year.
I’ve dedicated the last years of my life to this mission. I’ve traveled across countries, visited nearly 1,000 skateparks myself, photographed, filmed, and documented them for free so the community could access this knowledge. I’ve invested over €50,000 of my own savings, all because I love skateboarding and I wanted to give something back.
But now, I’ve hit a wall.
The project has grown so much, so fast, that I can no longer afford to sustain it on my own. Every skater using the map means more API calls, higher hosting costs, and bigger bills. Right now, I’m paying thousands of euros each month just to keep the site running — and my savings are gone.
I always believed skate brands would eventually step in and support a project that’s helping the entire community. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened yet. And the truth is, I can’t keep this alive by myself anymore.
I don’t want to start charging skaters. This project was always meant to be free, open, and accessible for everyone. But unless I get help, the map can’t continue in its current form.
This isn’t just a website. It’s:
If it disappears, the skateboarding community loses an independent, free platform built by skaters for skaters.
I’ve launched a GoFundMe to help keep Trucks and Fins alive until brands and partners step in.
Your donation will directly cover:
Even a small contribution makes a big difference. Every euro helps keep this dream alive and free for skaters everywhere.
If you’ve ever used Trucks and Fins to find a park, plan a trip, or simply get inspired — please consider donating.
Together, we can make sure the world’s largest skatepark map not only survives, but continues to grow — for today’s skaters and for the next generation.
